I’m Matt Garvey — comic writer, serial self-publisher, and full-time wearer of too many hats.

I’ve been writing comics for about nine years now (though who’s counting?), and since jumping into the wild world of self-publishing back in March 2016, I’ve released over 30 comics and a couple of trades. You might’ve seen my stuff at comic cons, indie shops, or in the hands of someone cool with excellent taste.

Look, I’m not really an “awards” guy. But if you must know, I did win Best Original One-Shot at the Yancy Street Comic Awards, and Red Rocket Comet was voted Best Indie Comic by Pipedream Comics readers. So yeah... I've won a couple of things.

I write everything from heart-punching dramas to inappropriate toilet humour. If an idea pops into my head — whether I’m on the tube, in the shower, or being dared by a mate — odds are, I’ll turn it into a comic. Because that’s what I do: I make stories. And I help others do the same.
